Mandatory Renter’s Insurance Requirement
All tenants are required to obtain renter’s insurance with a minimum coverage of $10,000. This policy ensures that tenants’ personal belongings are protected. Please note that we do not provide any insurance coverage for tenants.
Move-In Inventory and Condition Form
Within five days of moving in, thoroughly inspect your new home and email us the completed Inventory and Condition Form. This form will be kept on file in the leasing department and does not constitute a maintenance request. For any maintenance issues identified during your inspection, please submit a request through your online tenant account. Our goal is to ensure you enjoy your new home and we are committed to maintaining the property.
Guidelines for a Smooth Move-Out Process
Moving out can be a busy and sometimes stressful time. DFW Rent Houses provides checklists and guides to help make your transition smoother, faster, and more organized.
Proper notice must be given prior to vacating the property, as outlined in your lease agreement. DFW Rent Houses will conduct a move-out inspection only after all personal belongings have been removed and the property has been thoroughly cleaned. You are considered to be residing at the property until all keys (and garage door remote, if applicable) have been returned to our office. Re-entry to the home will not be permitted after the keys have been returned.
To expedite the return of your security deposit, please review the security deposit section of your Residential Lease Agreement. This will clarify the refund procedure and any additional charges you may incur.
The better the condition of the property upon your departure, the faster the security deposit can be returned to you at the forwarding address you provide. If you vacate the property before the end of the lease term, you remain responsible for paying the rent for the remainder of the lease period. We will, however, make every effort to re-lease the property promptly.
